The Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s (MoCI) Single Window platform continues to enhance Qatar’s digital business environment, with five new electronic services launched in the second quarter of 2025 and a 5.38 percent quarterly rise in electronic transactions, according to reports.
In a statement posted on his official X account, Minister of Commerce and Industry, H E Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, noted that the time required to complete registrations and licensing has now dropped to two days, with 98 percent of applications processed electronically. He also highlighted that 88 percent of customers expressed satisfaction with the Single Window platform, a key pillar of the government’s digital transformation drive.
“These results reflect our commitment to improving the investment environment in the country,” the Minister stated. “We will continue developing the platform to make it faster, easier, and more efficient for investors.”
The Single Window system plays a central role in enabling businesses to establish and operate in Qatar by offering a unified digital interface. From planning to government approvals and registration, investors can complete essential processes through a single dashboard.
The platform provides a modern, user-friendly interface that allows seamless access to integrated services and real-time tracking of applications, significantly reducing time and administrative burden.
The progress aligns with the Ministry’s Strategy 2024–2030, which aims to achieve full digitalisation of services and boost annual patent registrations by 20 percent through to 2030.
In the area of consumer protection, the Minister added that MoCI staff conducted 58,180 inspection campaigns in Q2 to enforce market compliance and price control measures.
According to reports, these developments form part of Qatar’s broader efforts to support the implementation of the Third National Development Strategy and to strengthen the country’s regional and international competitiveness.
