Tensor is set to unveil the Tensor Robocar, the world’s first personally owned Level 4 autonomous vehicle, at the upcoming Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport 2025—one of the UAE’s leading global innovation platforms. This marks Tensor’s first public showcase in the Middle East and a major milestone in its mission to redefine personal mobility.
Built from the ground up over a decade of engineering and AI development, Tensor represents a new category of vehicle—designed natively for autonomy rather than retrofitted for it. “This isn’t a concept—it’s the world’s first real personal Robocar. The Robocar features over 100 integrated sensors, including 37 cameras, 5 lidars, and 11 radars, offering unparalleled visibility and safety. With radar-transparent materials, unobstructed lidar sightlines, and a low hood profile, the design prioritises safety and reliability. Its advanced electrical and electronic architecture provides full-stack redundancy across power, communications, and control for fail-operational performance.
Powered by the Tensor Foundation Model, the vehicle combines Transformer-based architecture and multimodal sensor fusion to navigate complex conditions such as desert glare, dust, fog, and heavy rain. Its dual AI systems mirror human cognition: rapid reflexive responses for everyday driving and advanced reasoning for rare edge cases.
Unlike fleet-dependent autonomous vehicles, Tensor is built for private ownership at scale, with features like autonomous charging, parking, intelligent sensor cleaning, and self-diagnostics. Privacy is central, with all data processed locally, encrypted access, and physical safeguards like camera covers and microphone off-switches.
Tensor also introduces multiple world-firsts: the first agentic AI vehicle, dual driving modes, and a foldable steering wheel with a sliding interior display. Its ecosystem of partners includes Nvidia, Sony, VinFast, Oracle, and Marsh, which has developed the world’s first Robocar insurance policy.
