EDGE Group and Barzan Holdings have agreed to establish a joint venture focused on the collaborative development of advanced defence technologies, reinforcing long-term industrial cooperation between the UAE and Qatar.
The agreement was formalised during a signing ceremony at DIMDEX 2026, which opened today in Doha. The joint venture is intended to support the co-development of defence technologies aligned with evolving national security requirements, while strengthening sustainable industrial capabilities in both countries.
According to the announcement, the collaboration brings together complementary strengths across technical expertise, operational insight, and industrial capacity. By combining these capabilities, the joint venture aims to enable a more integrated approach to the development and delivery of advanced defence solutions, supporting long-term readiness and resilience for both nations.
