Lenovo has announced the appointment of its executive leadership team for Saudi Arabia as part of its plan to establish a Regional Headquarters (RHQ) in Riyadh. The RHQ will be based in the Al Majdoul Tower, home to several Public Investment Fund (PIF) entities and government organisations.
The move comes alongside Lenovo’s strategic collaboration with ALAT, a PIF-owned company, which includes the development of a 200,000 sqm advanced manufacturing facility in Riyadh’s Special Integrated Logistics Zone. Construction began earlier this year, with production of locally made devices expected to start in 2026.
As part of its Saudi expansion, Lenovo has appointed Lawrence Yu as Head of Regional Headquarters. Yu, who has been with Lenovo for 15 years, previously led the company’s Retail Solutions division, where he oversaw significant revenue growth. He played a central role in securing the ALAT partnership and planning the Riyadh manufacturing site.
Giovanni Di Filippo has been named Vice President and General Manager for Lenovo Saudi Arabia. He will lead all business units in the Kingdom, including the Intelligent Devices Group, Infrastructure Solutions Group, and Solutions & Services Group. Di Filippo previously served as President of EMEA ISG, where he helped expand market share across the region.
Zoran Radumilo joins as Chief Technology Officer for Lenovo Saudi Arabia. With more than 25 years of global enterprise technology experience, he will oversee sector-specific strategies for government, energy, telecommunications, smart cities, and financial services.
“The confirmation of Al Majdoul Tower as the future location of Lenovo’s Regional Headquarters, alongside the appointment of our new executive leadership team for Saudi Arabia and RHQ, marks a major milestone in our regional strategy,” said Matt Dobrodziej, Senior Vice President & President, Lenovo EMEA.
