Salesforce launches Agentforce for Net Zero Cloud with unified data to help teams meet sustainability compliance, cut costs, and drive efficiency

Salesforce launches Agentforce for Net Zero Cloud

Sustainability teams are overwhelmed by mounting pressure from complex reporting, tighter regulatory timelines, and investor demands. Despite rapid AI adoption, sustainability teams still rely on manual processes and spreadsheets to access emissions data from siloed systems, which can take months and result in incomplete reports and missed opportunities. It’s no surprise that 75% of companies feel unprepared to manage this complexity or turn sustainability data into actionable insights to improve operational efficiencies.

That’s why Salesforce is introducing Agentforce for Net Zero Cloud — to help sustainability teams streamline reporting, reduce operational costs, and boost efficiency through pre-built agent topics and actions. Grounded in company data and built on the Salesforce Trust Layer, Agentforce augments sustainability teams with digital labour — a workforce of intelligent AI agents that work alongside humans to complete time-intensive tasks faster and more efficiently than humans alone.

Gone are the days of sifting through spreadsheets. Now teams can ask Agentforce questions in natural language, like: “Identify our least energy-efficient buildings” or “What is our year-over-year energy consumption for real estate?” In seconds, teams can uncover emission reduction opportunities, spot data gaps, and deliver trusted, audit-ready responses to stakeholders, investors, and regulators. This frees sustainability teams to focus on high-impact work, like targeting emission hotspots, optimising resources, and turning sustainability into a strategic business advantage.

Agentforce for Net Zero Cloud introduces new agentic AI capabilities, including:

  • Insights gathering: Customers can access precise, real-time sustainability data and insights via natural language. They can also quickly monitor and analyse carbon footprints, making it easier to reduce emissions and meet demands from investors, customers, and regulators.
  • Disclosure assistance: Automates responses for major frameworks like CSRD, SASB, and CDP by drawing from Net Zero Cloud’s Information Library and other saved documents. Saves significant time when completing compliant, audit-ready reports.

Net Zero Cloud, now integrated with Data Cloud, offers a deeply unified platform that can access high-volume and granular sustainability, energy consumption, and supplier data. It delivers a single source of truth by connecting to data across systems such as finance, procurement, and operations without moving or reformatting, reducing errors and speeding up insights. For example, Net Zero Cloud gives sustainability managers a 360-degree view of their data by accessing energy consumption data from smart meters, travel emissions from expense management platforms, and specific Scope 3 emissions data from supplier invoices. This flexibility turns reactive reporting into strategic action — enabling faster decisions, smarter investments, and measurable progress on sustainability goals that improve financial performance.

Why this matters: Turning a reporting burden into a strategic advantage

It’s no longer enough to just report. Sustainability leaders face pivotal challenges: delivering transparent, audit-ready insights with limited resources, and proving their efforts create tangible business value. With 85% of investors wary of greenwashing, trust hinges on accurate data. Leaders can build confidence, attract investment, and drive business resilience by proving the integrity and impact of their initiatives.

Go deeper

By integrating the power of Agentforce and Data Cloud with Net Zero Cloud, users no longer have to rely on disparate systems that offer limited visibility.

Insights gathering: Driving efficiency and cost reduction

  • Agentforce for Net Zero Cloud goes beyond basic computation and does sophisticated reasoning and analysis to deliver instant, real-time insights, eliminating the time-consuming process of manual data analysis.
  • Instead of sifting through spreadsheets, a sustainability manager can ask Agentforce: “Show me the top three facilities with the highest energy consumption per unit of production and their associated procurement costs over the last quarter.”
  • This immediate insight allows for targeted interventions, such as identifying inefficient equipment or negotiating better energy contracts, leading to reduced operational expenses and a lower carbon footprint — a capability beyond basic reporting tools.

Disclosure assistance: Streamlining compliance and building trust

  • Agentforce automates responses to complex disclosure requirements across major frameworks like CSRD, SASB, and CDP. Unlike standalone reporting tools, Agentforce leverages Data Cloud and connects to the Information Library and documents within Net Zero Cloud.
  • When preparing an investor report, sustainability teams can ask: “Generate a summary of our progress on reducing Scope 3 emissions related to purchased goods and services, including any associated cost savings from supplier engagement initiatives.”
  • This saves significant time and resources while ensuring accurate, auditable, and contextually rich reports that build investor trust and mitigate risks associated with incomplete or inaccurate disclosures.

Centralised sustainability content library: Ensuring accuracy and reducing risk

  • Net Zero Cloud’s intelligent Information Library provides a centralised, auditable hub for all sustainability-related content, unlike disparate document management systems.
  • Teams can efficiently manage and access information for various reporting frameworks, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • This minimises the risk of errors and inconsistencies in critical disclosures, provides a level of confidence in reporting, and streamlines responses to regulatory and investor inquiries.

Custom agents for smarter sustainability: Proactive value creation

  • The Agent Builder gives organisations the flexibility to build custom, no-code agents tailored to their own sustainability challenges — a level of proactive intelligence not typically found in standard sustainability platforms.
  • For example, a company can deploy Agentforce to continuously monitor water usage in water-stressed facilities and trigger alerts for anomalies. This enables immediate action to prevent operational disruptions and regulatory fines, directly protecting the bottom line.
  • Similarly, Agentforce can analyse real-time commodity prices and energy consumption data to identify optimal times for renewable energy procurement, maximising cost savings and creating data-driven value.

Agentforce is sustainable by design

Agentforce is designed with sustainability in mind, eliminating the need for customers to train or fine-tune their own models. The Salesforce AI Research team develops compact and efficient AI models, which require significantly fewer resources than frontier LLMs. Salesforce is also actively investing in the clean energy transition, advocating for policy, and participating in key coalitions, collaborating with peers to advance responsible and sustainable AI.

“Net Zero Cloud, now harnessing the power of Agentforce and Data Cloud, is changing how organisations manage sustainability. By replacing manual reporting with proactive, AI-driven insights and unified data, customers can now save time and focus on strategic action – turning sustainability into a driver of efficiency, innovation, and impact.” – Prashanthi Sudhakar, Head of Product for Net Zero Cloud, Salesforce
