Juniper Networks has announced significant enhancements to its AI-Native Networking Platform, designed to help customers and partners take full advantage of Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be). This new Wi-Fi standard offers higher throughput, lower latency, extended range, and improved reliability compared to earlier versions. By integrating new Juniper Mist Wi-Fi 7 access points (APs) and high-power EX campus switches with its award-winning Mist AI and cloud-native networking services, Juniper enables a seamless transition to Wi-Fi 7, ensuring superior performance and sustainability.
The newly introduced AP47 Series Access Points deliver high-performance Wi-Fi 7 with integrated location services and advanced AI. These access points are purpose-built for high-density environments, offering fast, secure, and resilient wireless connections. Juniper’s AI-driven radio resource management (RRM) optimises capacity and automates channel, power, and multi-link operations. Additionally, the AP47 acts as a converged Wi-Fi, IoT, and Bluetooth gateway, supporting innovative applications with precise location tracking through Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology.
Juniper also launched new EX4400-48MXP and EX4400-48XP switches to support Wi-Fi 7 and high-power IoT devices. These switches feature 3600W power delivery, enabling efficient deployment and management of smart building infrastructure. The EX-switches, managed via the Juniper Mist cloud, streamline IT operations, reduce operational costs, and support higher power devices such as Wi-Fi 7 access points.
To complement its new hardware, Juniper continues to expand its AI-Native capabilities across its platform, simplifying network management and enhancing security. Juniper Mist Wired Assurance, Wireless Assurance, and Marvis Virtual Network Assistant offer unique features like customisable service levels, dynamic packet capture, and digital experience twinning to improve both wired and wireless network experiences. These AI-driven solutions also enhance Wi-Fi 7 networks by providing advanced access control, ensuring that only authorised devices can connect.
