The US–UAE Business Council recently hosted a high-level delegation of Chief AI Officers from UAE government entities during an official visit to the United States. The gathering brought together more than 180 leaders, creating a platform for UAE officials to connect with top AI experts, global business leaders, and senior US government representatives.
Among the key speakers were Engineer Mohamed bin Taliah, Chief of Government Services in the UAE, Danny Sebright, President of the US–UAE Business Council, and Jim Wunderman, CEO of the Bay Area Council. Discussions focused on strengthening technology collaboration, forging new partnerships, and showcasing the UAE’s AI Chief Executives Model, which is driving innovation within government services.
AI as a national priority
Mohamed bin Taliah emphasised that embedding AI across government remains a top priority for the UAE. He noted that the country is committed to enhancing its global leadership in digital governance by collaborating with leading technology companies. Such direct engagements, he added, enable the exchange of expertise, adoption of best practices, and development of local talent through training programmes that support a smarter, more innovative digital future.
Cybersecurity in focus
Dr Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Government’s Cybersecurity Council, highlighted the increasing risks of cyber threats. He stressed that global cooperation on cybersecurity is no longer optional but essential.
“These engagements underscore the UAE’s leadership in cybersecurity and its commitment to international collaboration,” Dr Al Kuwaiti said. “From data privacy and critical infrastructure protection to AI-driven defence, we are strengthening resilience by investing in advanced technologies, building national expertise, and enabling knowledge exchange.”
