To address these demands, Western Digital is unveiling the 26TB WD Purple Pro HDD, purpose-built for smart video solutions. The new capacity point is built on Western Digital’s 11-disk platform and delivers the performance and durability needed for 24/7 large-scale video recordings. Designed with field-proven ePMR technology, it is ideal for AI-enabled recorders, video analytics and deep-learning servers, cloud-based storage, and demanding environments, ensuring reliable, high-performance storage while keeping data accessible and always protected. Additional product highlights include 550TB/year workload rating, Western Digital Device Analytics to provide drive health management and the AllFrame AI technology that supports up to 64 single-stream HD cameras or 32 AI streams for deep learning analytics.
