Saviynt announced the launch of its data residency solution in Saudi Arabia. Hosted on Google Cloud’s Dammam region, the solution enables Saudi organisations to adopt Saviynt’s Enterprise Identity Cloud while keeping sensitive identity data within the Kingdom.
Regulatory enforcement in Saudi Arabia is now a priority under the Kingdom’s Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). Unauthorised cross-border data transfers or breaches can now lead to fines of up to SAR 5 million. The launch extends Saviynt’s global cloud capabilities to address this growing demand for local data residency among government entities, financial institutions and other regulated organisations in Saudi Arabia. Identity data includes sensitive user, access and approval information. Thus, keeping it within national borders is key for organisations navigating regulatory requirements and digital transformation.
“Identity is becoming the control plane for AI, and Saudi organisations need solutions that address their evolving regulatory and data residency requirements,” said Kamel Heus, Vice President of Sales, Middle East and Africa, Saviynt. “With Saviynt’s Enterprise Identity Cloud hosted in Google Cloud’s Dammam region and our local legal entity in the Kingdom, we are making it easier for government, financial services, energy, telecommunications and other enterprises to meet local requirements while modernising identity security. This reflects our commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation with local capabilities and expertise.”
The role of identity security is gaining importance as Saudi organisations advance cloud adoption and integrate AI initiatives into their production, with access across people, applications and AI agents alike. Saviynt’s local hosting capability enables organisations to modernise identity governance without having to manage their own infrastructure or compromise on data residency requirements.
The Saudi Arabia deployment offers organisations local data residency to help meet regulatory requirements, a cloud-native SaaS platform with AI capabilities to modernise identity security, and improved performance through local hosting. Customers can also benefit from Saviynt’s local legal entity for easier transactions, backed by local support and broader regional expertise.
“Our cloud-native, SaaS-based platform brings modern identity security and AI capabilities to Saudi Arabia, helping organisations move beyond legacy infrastructure while benefiting from a more seamless experience and improved performance through local hosting,” said Niraj Gopal, Vice President of Product Management, Saviynt. “This launch reflects our commitment to making advanced identity security more accessible to Saudi organisations, enabling them to modernise their identity operations with a scalable, continuously evolving platform.”
Available since October 1, 2026, the solution will enable customers to deploy Saviynt’s cloud-native identity platform with customer data, PII, encryption keys, logs and metadata hosted within the borders.
