Botim has partnered with Mastercard to launch Mastercard One Credential, introducing the payment solution to the UAE and the wider Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA) region for the first time.
The solution allows eligible Botim cardholders to access multiple funding sources through a single payment credential. Users can switch between prepaid balances and credit funding without requiring separate cards, giving them greater flexibility over how they pay.
According to Mastercard’s consumer research, 83 percent of surveyed UAE consumers said they would use instalment payments through One Credential. The companies said the solution is designed to simplify payments by bringing multiple payment options together in a single card experience.
For first-time credit users, One Credential integrates credit access into an existing card. Eligible cardholders can also access funds across multiple currencies and convert purchases into instalments through the platform.
“At Botim, we believe financial services should improve how people access and manage everyday financial lives,” said H.E. Dr. Tariq BinHendi, Board Member at Astra Tech and CEO of Botim. “Our work with Mastercard reflects a shared commitment to fostering greater choice, transparency, and confidence in digital payments. By bringing this capability to Botim cardholders, we are providing a more practical and trusted way to pay, while continuing to build a platform that can support long-term financial participation and create sustainable value.”
Gina Petersen-Skyrme, Senior Vice President and Country Manager, UAE and Oman at Mastercard, said: “Consumers increasingly expect payment experiences that are secure, simple, and embedded in their everyday digital lives. By combining Mastercard’s One Credential technology with Botim’s digital platform, we are simplifying how cardholders access and manage different payment methods through one scalable solution.”
The companies said the prepaid and instalment offering is the first phase of a broader collaboration that will introduce additional Botim payment products and use cases in the future.
