Nutanix has announced the signing of a sponsorship agreement with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) for its ‘HPE Digital Life Garage’ innovation hub in Dubai. The agreement builds on the existing strategic collaboration between the two vendors that has provided enterprises with a “better together” combination of cloud technologies to further their digital transformation aspirations. Nutanix will use the HPE Digital Life Garage hub as an incubator for new technology ideas and innovations that will redefine the future of Enterprise IT.

“Regional enterprises have realised that a transition to the cloud is an imperative for digital transformation, and hybrid cloud is the ideal IT model. Over the past year Nutanix has collaborated effectively with HPE to provide customers and partners with greater freedom of choice for building their hybrid cloud strategy. HPE’s broad, unique and world’s most secure portfolio of servers are optimised for Nutanix Enterprise Cloud software to deliver cloud capabilities with greater agility, flexibility, control and choice. The aim is to make cloud infrastructure invisible so that customers can focus on business-critical apps, not the underlying technology. The market has responded very positively, and we have seen a huge uptake of our joint solutions,” said Aaron White, Regional Director, Middle East at Nutanix.

“Buoyed by this success, we decided to sign up as a key sponsor of the HPE Digital Life Garage, which we believe is a great platform for co-innovation and digital acceleration. HPE’s focus for the hub of ‘transforming technology’s impact on society’ is in line with our own company’s vision and ethos.”

The HPE Digital Life Garage facility, officially launched in Dubai in August this year, is the first in a series of the company’s worldwide innovation centres. Located in the heart of the Innovation Hub of Dubai, the multi-million-dollar HPE Digital Life Garage consists of four pillars: The Digital Innovation Showcase, the Digital Life Lab, the Digital Knowledge Center, and the HPE Global Network.

As part of the agreement, the two companies will work together within the HPE Digital Life Garage to map customers’ digital transformation journeys and develop innovative solutions based on customer and partner requirements. They will explore and build new technology use cases; increase customer and partner engagement by bringing them into the facility to conduct Ideation Workshops, PoCs, demos and drive virtual, in-person and hybrid events.

The collaboration through HPE Digital Life Garage follows the announcement of a global partnership between Nutanix and HPE in 2019, to deliver an integrated hybrid cloud as a Service (aaS) solution to the market.  After just over a year of engagement, Nutanix customers now have a very wide choice of HPE hardware models and configurations to run Nutanix software on. HPE GreenLake, an integrated hybrid cloud as-a-service solution, as well as HPE ProLiant DX servers, designed for building enterprise cloud on-premises, both run Nutanix hyperconverged software. The joint solutions combine compute, storage, virtualisation and network functionalities, making it simple and easy for IT to maintain and scale when needed.

“The objective of the Digital Life Garage is to create an environment to collaborate with our partners and develop technology ideas that advance the way people live and work. We are happy to welcome Nutanix as a sponsor and see the company playing an important role in helping us achieve the goals set out by this initiative. We believe this agreement will foster deeper collaboration between our two companies and drive innovation and technological revolution,” concludes Wolfgang Egger, Vice President, Compute, Data and Storage Services & Solutions, United Kingdom, Ireland, Middle East and Africa at Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
