Emirates has officially launched Crypto.com Pay, enabling eligible UAE customers to pay for flight bookings using the digital payment solution through the airline’s website and mobile app.
The launch marks the implementation of a partnership announced in July 2025, when Emirates and Crypto.com signed a memorandum of understanding to integrate Crypto.com Pay into the airline’s digital payment ecosystem. Customers with a Crypto.com account can now select the payment option at checkout when booking through emirates.com or the Emirates App, with transactions processed in UAE dirhams (AED) and in compliance with UAE regulatory standards.
The integration is powered by Crypto.com’s Dubai entity, the first Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) to receive a Stored Value Facilities (SVF) licence from the Central Bank of the UAE, allowing the service to operate within the country’s regulatory framework.
“Bringing this initiative to life delivers on our commitment to expanding customer choice in how they pay for travel. It also reflects the rapidly evolving preferences of a younger, digitally fluent generation who manage their money and plan their journeys primarily from their phones and they expect the airlines they fly with to keep pace,” said Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer.

According to Emirates, the launch supports the Dubai Cashless Strategy under the D33 Economic Agenda, which aims for 90 percent of financial transactions across the public and private sectors to be digital by the end of 2026. It also builds on separate partnerships between Emirates and Dubai Finance, and between Crypto.com and Dubai Finance, to expand digital payment options across the emirate.
