F5 has introduced F5 AI Guardrails integrated with NVIDIA NeMo Guardrails, a new AI-native security solution designed to help organisations secure production AI applications through centralised policy enforcement and governance.
The announcement addresses one of the biggest challenges facing enterprise AI adoption: moving applications from pilot projects into production. According to F5, organisations deploying multiple AI models and frameworks across hybrid multicloud environments often struggle with fragmented security controls, inconsistent policy enforcement and governance gaps, leaving security teams with limited visibility across AI applications.
The integrated solution separates security enforcement from the AI framework itself. Organisations can standardise on NVIDIA NeMo Guardrails while F5 AI Guardrails inspects prompts and large language model (LLM) responses, applying enterprise security policies centrally without requiring changes to individual AI applications.
“Enterprises do not have a shortage of AI applications. They have a shortage of consistent security and governance across them,” said Kunal Anand, Chief Product Officer at F5. “As AI moves into production, fragmented controls create risk, complexity, and delay. This integration gives security teams a unified point to inspect AI traffic, enforce policy, and govern AI applications across their environments, while giving developers the freedom to keep building.”
F5 said the solution provides real-time prompt and response inspection to help detect prompt injection, prevent personally identifiable information (PII) exposure, reduce data leakage and identify harmful outputs. It also offers centralised policy management and a unified operational view across AI models, frameworks and business units.
“NVIDIA NeMo Guardrails provides an open, programmable framework for applying safety and security policies to AI applications,” said Ash Bhalgat, Senior Director of AI Networking and Security Solutions, Ecosystem and Marketing at NVIDIA. “The integration with F5 AI Guardrails expands the range of protections customers can use to secure LLM prompts and responses as they move AI agents into production.”
F5 said the integrated solution is generally available and is designed to support organisations as they scale AI deployments while maintaining consistent security and governance.
