At Tech World 2024, Lenovo introduced AI innovations focusing on personalised, secure, and efficient solutions for work, learning, and home

Lenovo debuts AI-powered solutions at Tech World 2024

Lenovo has announced a range of new AI-driven products at the recent Tech World 2024, highlighting its vision of more personalised, secure, and efficient technology for consumers and businesses. Key launches include Lenovo AI Now, an AI-powered local assistant for PCs, and Lenovo Learning Zone, a new educational platform.

Lenovo AI Now is a local AI agent aimed at transforming PCs into personalised assistants. Built on Meta’s Llama 3.1 language model, it operates entirely on the device, ensuring enhanced privacy by keeping users’ data local and not relying on cloud servers. Lenovo AI Now enables users to manage documents, control device settings, and organise large volumes of data through natural language commands, delivering a fast and efficient experience powered by AI.

An integral feature of Lenovo AI Now is the Knowledge Library, which allows users to store and access personal data directly on their device. This library leverages a combination of CPU, GPU, and NPU resources to ensure high-speed performance without draining the battery. Users can add files to their Knowledge Library, search within them, and even ask specific questions to retrieve insights. This feature is especially useful for professionals who need to organise and quickly access large amounts of information, making Lenovo AI Now a powerful tool for boosting productivity while prioritising data privacy.

“At Lenovo, our vision is to deliver smarter technology for all, with an unwavering commitment to shaping a future powered by AI. With one of the most comprehensive AI portfolios in the industry, we provide powerful, flexible, and responsible devices and solutions that empower individuals and drive transformation across industries,” said Luca Rossi, President, Intelligent Devices Group at Lenovo. “Our focus on personalised, productive, and protected experiences ensures that our AI-driven ecosystem helps unlock creativity, enhances collaboration, and seamlessly integrates into any digital environment.”

Security remains a top priority for Lenovo. The company’s AI systems, including Lenovo AI Now, are built with privacy protections to keep personal data secure. With data stored locally in the Knowledge Library, users retain full control over cloud interactions, which require explicit consent. Lenovo AI Now also incorporates Microsoft Azure AI Content Safety for harmful content filtering and has received the UL Verified Mark for AI Model Transparency, affirming Lenovo’s commitment to data protection.

Lenovo Learning Zone, another AI-driven addition, is an educational platform aimed at delivering personalised learning experiences. While further details weren’t disclosed, the platform aligns with Lenovo’s broader goal to make AI-driven technology accessible and impactful in everyday life.

These announcements reflect Lenovo’s commitment to integrating AI across its product lineup, focusing on privacy, productivity, and a more tailored user experience.
